Portfolio companies

Build useful capability in one business. Learn what can travel.

For groups and portfolio operators exploring AI across several companies, start with a workflow a local team can own. Use the result to assess what can be repeated and what must remain specific to each business.

Start close to the operating company

A portfolio objective needs a local process, responsible owner and evidence of the problem. Select an operating company with access to the people and records needed to assess the work.

The first scope should be useful to that business on its own terms. Its result can then inform a wider decision.

Reuse the method. Check the differences.

Evaluation practices, application patterns and some integration work may transfer. Data access, policies, commercial rules, infrastructure and decision rights still need review in each company.

Keep information boundaries between businesses explicit. A shared sponsor does not by itself authorize shared data or identical operating rules.

Make the portfolio review decision-ready

For each initiative, show the process owner, stage, accepted outcome, remaining dependency and next decision. Compare value using a consistent method while preserving the local baseline and cost structure.

Keep expected benefit, released capacity and realized financial contribution separate. Rollout decisions should reflect the evidence from the operating company and the work needed to repeat it elsewhere.

A first conversation

Bring one operating company, one recurring workflow and the group objective it supports. We can explore the evidence needed for a scoped Strategy engagement and the conditions for a later expansion decision.
